Hey there, I’m Annie. I’m a mom with a heart for Jesus on a mission to help other moms find joy in the journey, savor the simple moments, and live in the present for the present that it truly is. Let’s face it, being a mom is hard! Working mom, stay at home mom, one child, multiple children, married mom, single mom, daycare mom, homeschool mom…I’ve lived them ALL and one thing is certain. It. is. all. hard. But, it doesn’t need to be heavy. Let’s let the one who is the Light flood in and lighten our load.

Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for He gives to his beloved sleep. Meet The Mom Friend You Always Wished You Had…
The hurricane years… I was told that once they start, hold on tight because life is about to fly by. As a new mom I was the typical excited, scared and feeling completely not ready. But, as the saying goes, God qualifies the called.
Fast forward and I have four amazing arrows. I’ve gone from being a public school teacher to a homeschool mom. From a married mom to a single mom. From a mom trying to control it all to one living a surrendered life from rest. Do I still have hard, heavy days… of course. Sanctification is a life long journey in and of itself. We are all human and this life isn’t heaven for a reason. Do I know how to come back from those days to return to peace and find joy in the midst? Praise the Lord, yes!
I had no idea that this journey would be so difficult, so heavy at times, but also so rewarding. Being a present mom is a battle with the distractions of this world. Perhaps we are called to live out this journey in surrender.
This blog is a calling, and one that was placed on my heart. It is a huge leap of faith and an act of obedience for the one who holds me and you and the beautiful chaos that is motherhood. I’m so excited to share this journey will you. Welcome to The Curriculum Curator.
The Heart Behind the Work
I have a spot in my heart for moms. If you are here, you’ve been led here for a reason. It’s a blessing and one that we all know, but can miss between the hustle and bustle of trying to juggle all the things. Life takes on a pace of its own, and taking time for rest and reflection can feel laughable. You have those fleeting moments to look at your child, to truly be present, and you wonder if your missing those precious moments on the days that dishes, laundry, and being the grown up wage battle for your attention. It all needs to get done, and we so often feel that we are never enough.
I am here to tell you that you are enough, you are chosen to walk in this calling of motherhood, and there is a way to mommy on from rest. Motherhood is a ministry. Let’s treat it like one.
